Lossless specifically does not make a difference versus high quality lossy, but Spotify's lossless is 1) not actually lossless unfortunately and 2) actually higher quality lossy than the current highest quality

It's a mix of having a battery to charge (death sentence for my forgetful ass), them mostly being closed backs by necessity and also sounding a lot worse for the prices I'm willing to pay compared to wired alternatives

The wires don't bother me because the benefits I get from them are pretty substantial, and my headphones are docked at my desk anyways.. I have earbuds to take with me on the go (which are also wired, for vaguely similar reasons lol)
