if its louder than that, they compress it and lower the volume, which ruins dynamics

I don't have speakers just headphones. I don't think my headphones would like that. Cuz I easily spent like 15+ hours on this song and listened to like a million songs in conjunction with mine and couldn't hear any mixing issues. Probably an experience thing.

oh yeah smth to say about this thats helpful:

you can get a really well balanced mix, if you mix with the volume way way down

when its louder sometimes its hard to tell volume of one track against another

when its super quiet, its easier usually to tell how loud smth is compared to others, and if you can hear all tracks clearly when its super quiet, it will be more balanced at regular volume
