@hollow dirge it's losing money because of poor money management. It's losing money because they made multiple bad choices. I'm saying if they get rid of those poor choices, and they start focusing on WHY people left and fix those things as a priority maybe it could at some point become a profitable game. I just think about all of the creativity that will be destroyed on June 1st. Rooms that can't be saved because only a small portion of the users have PCs. I just want them to sell it to a company that CAN make it profitable.

if you would like to try rad just check it out urself. the "turn off your anti virus" shit is not true. there has never been a thing saying that. google drive says the file is too big to scan for viruses. That doesn't equal a virus. also running any unsigned program is going to have BASE windows ask if you wanna run the program. I don't use a anti virus and it still askes if I wanna run the program. so please shut up about things you heard from slop rec tubers

the radi um server has 30k people and the game itself has hundreds of concurrent players
the antivirus thing was based on windows asking confirmation when u try to launch the app which was misinterpreted by recroom youtubers as the game being a virus

plus, theyre not monetising it. theyre using an older build from recroom’s prime and relying on fan donations so they can deliver a rec room experience after the game’s death

and even if they did get away with it, the community would be pissed off
their server code is open-source, so someone could copy that code and make their own no-purchases version of recroom

the devs are aware of that and still made everything open source, showing that they do it for the love of the game and not for money

as for running away with the money, its possible they can do that but they would probably make more money from keeping the servers up and getting more donations
not to mention the hate they’d get from the community and the fact someone else could pick up where they left off

  1. Rec Room can't be purchased nor sold to other companies because of Snap (Snapchat). Snap purchased a lot of Rec Room assets for I think VR glasses from what I heard. But Because Snap purchased these Rec Room can't be sold to anyone. In this case only Snap could buy Rec Room. (This does not mean bother Snap Chat Support)

  2. It might have been a short window but Rec Room was just not hitting the right spot. What they said was IF they got to the spot they wanted which did not happen. It might have broke players trust but they should have looked more into depth about it before assuming Rec Room can just last for years and years.

  3. With Friendships I know a lot of people made soo many friends on Rec Room. Reach out to them on Discord or other Connection Platforms.

3.1 When it comes to building Data Export tools help Creators download and Export Data such as rooms, Inventions, and Pictures of you avatar into files. You can then use these files to create more things in other creative Platforms.

3.2 "It does not feel the same" It really does. I've been to many friends worlds on VR Chat and Roblox and the rooms which used to be In Rec Room looked almost the same (Besides Roblox).

  1. Players spent money knowing Rec Room would not stay afloat for decades. Players knew what they were spending money on knowing One day it would be gone. It's ultimately the persons choice to spend money on things knowing in the future it won't be there.

No one can or is going to buy Rec Room. A lot of people are still in the "Denial Stage". I get Rec Room helped a lot of us through Covid-19 and helped us make a lot of friends and show off creative skills. In the end what has been done stays done. Rec Room can't come back from this sadly. A lot of people loved Rec Room but at times we have to move on.

They never sold "us" to Snap. They sold Rec Room Assets made by Rec Room or (Against Gravity). They also Never Promised they would last until 2029. They only said they had funding to. The money they have is going to other causes like supporting their previous staff helping them get back on their feet. Rec Room never promised us we would last until 2029 they said they could but never was promised. With managing money they really did not do too bad. Most people look at 3 million for a RRO as a lot but for what it came out to and how devs made it, it really does not compare to other games. Rec Room never Lied, They never promised we could go until 2029. They only said that's how much funding it could last.
