#The new rec room steam update gave virus detections

Who me?
Reason why it’s saying it’s a Trojan is most likely because they are not renewing the certificate which is what deems most anticheats safe. So without it can make Microsoft think it’s a virus and do a false positive. It Should still be safe and someone with more knowledge can possibly explain better
ill check it out and test it i guess
it's safe, if it were a widespread issue it would've been fixed by now
so unless if you've downloaded from unofficial sources i'd just exempt and let it run
that, or there's an issue outside of rec room
in the morning the devs should be able to help people or renew it
in defender it said it was inside my rec room steam folder
i also have it lol
Yea then allow it
had to whitelist the client itself then restart my pc
It’s a false positive
I did and ran the exe
im not seeing anything in task manager
Did you restart your pc and check the RecRoom folder and make sure referee anticheat is in the folder and not gone if it is reinstall RecRoom or verify integrity files
i restored it
ill check files now
I verified files and am trying to boot the exe but it seems like its not booting up for whatever reason
nvm
It worked?
Alright bless
thank you
when it asks to let refree run i click yes and the thing js keeps popping up no matter what i do
