Local version of Rec Room?

Even if unofficial, couldn't a solution be to keep a version of Rec Room as it is right now, and leave players with the ability to play their own rooms, make stuff and share locally instead of using servers?

Then instead of downloading the data of your rooms to have nothing to do with it except for models and some other stuff, you could instead load the rooms and continue to use them normally!

I use Rec Room as a way to express my creativity, through private projects that never go anywhere, and its sad to lose this experience.

I totally understand if Rec Room either won't allow it or couldnt do it, but its a nice thought.

Having a local version will eat up your hard drive, think about loading into all the rooms and the custom rooms, items, and metadata

It’s a weird thing where it runs a server on the device that’s playing the game, although there are a few drawbacks, processing power being one of them
