You would have to compete with alternatives, which is difficult since Radium is already very popular. Hosting servers, connecting everything, doing Unity modeling, and managing development all require a full team. That is why Rekrim and Radium both have multiple developers working on them. You cannot just decide to create a game on your own and expect it to happen overnight. Thinking it is realistic is itself proof that it is not.

Even with a team of developers, it's going to take years of progress and work, and years of knowledge. Gribbly just didn't pull RecRoom out of his ass, and neither did the team. They had previous experience of working at EA, etc., and other game companies and game development areas. You certainly have not. On a very serious note here, and this is specifically to ellie, making a game that has all your ideas in it is going to be incredibly hard, time-consuming, and honestly is most likely not going to work. You can have dreams, and dreams are great to have, especially if you have motivation for them, but there comes a point where you need to think realistically about certain situations, and you're not thinking very realistically at all, if at any. The way you're thinking is exactly the way Against Gravity Corporation thought, and it's gotten Rec Room to the point where it is basically in a position where it's shutting down and it's going to strip away an entire community. I do like your enthusiasm about a project, because it's what is needed to continuously keep going at something to get it right, but there is a fine line between being obsessive and understanding just realistic properties in general. I wish you the best on this, but don't open a public thread and ask for criticism if you generally cannot take constructive criticism whatsoever. Rec Room was a company that had $3.5 billion of net worth, and that is massive. They failed not because everything was too expensive, but specifically because they didn't listen to the community. And even with all that money, it was still fairly expensive for them. Starting small is going to definitely help, but the way you're thinking is not going to work whatsoever. Like I said again, I wish you well, but please just step back and actually think about the future and plan everything out before you jump on the train. Because from what I can see, you haven't thought anything out and you've just jumped into it and now you're planning. It's not a good way to make something, and the attitude you have towards it is definitely going to push people away. Especially the attitude you've had towards a lot of us in chat.
