Is Radium Safe?

Radium is what a few people are considering trying due to rec room shutting down, but there was never anyone questioning if Radium is safe or not.

There are zero official mentions of Radium on Rec Room websites, Rec Room social channels, and any reputable gaming or tech publication but youtube videos made by random people, and one that also calls it a rec room revival?

I also believe there is no transparency, so people are trusting something that has no verified developer, public code, security audit, privacy policy etc.

so if you are running this on your PC, you don't know what it can do, and if your logging into your rec room account in Radium that doesn't come in contact with Rec Rooms real servers, your just giving your password and username to unknown people which I do believe.

But what do you all think?

As someone who used to work for it, and might even go back, it's 100% safe. just dont use a password you use for other platforms, private servers are way less safe in terms of data leaks

yeah, so the data breached was because the old owner let too many people that he was buddy buddy with on the admin site, with a website with no 2fa or password requirements it was relatively easy to get in and fuck with things 😭 but the most that was gotten from what i remember were server configs (so a lot of the webhooks were spammed lol) and the ip of nexus because he has a huge list of cachedips lol, nothing like passwords were obtained, theyre ran under the same system that rec room uses (identityuser & identityserver) unlike other servers so we genuinely cannot do anything with your password unless you have a copy of the server and their password AND a copy of the database which at that point..just login to their account on radium 😭

uh i dont rlly have anything to say about it being safe other than the fact that we're a bunch of teenagers just making rec room stuff for the love of the game? id like to think we're the most trusted people in old rec room and dont have a reason to do much of anything malicious, we use a modloader with an obfuscated patch to deter skidding, but there is NOTHING maliciously stored in the patch if you look around hard enough, its been around for half a year surely someone wouldve found something by then 😭

There were a lot once some people heard what Radiu£ is and what they did, so there came more games or websites or whatever they are called that wanted to participate in the revival of rec room, which leads to other players going not just on Radiu£ but other fan games that unknown creators made.

Pretty insane name but you are correct, they can’t recreate rec room because of obviously copyright law regardless (which they would only care if they do make money or not) and also because it takes a lot of effort to keep players all on track due to short moderation, probably players breaking the code of conduct that I can say that it’s going to be 100% likely to run into hackers, dangerous players, or rude players in general, and also because regardless it won’t feel the same as rec room originally was. Yeah they did it, they are still keeping the old version of rec room alive but 10x times worser then before the original.

My answer here is the game safe? I’m going to say it’s allegedly safe said by people, yeah someone did try to send me proof by putting it through a viruses detecter or showing me the ExE of Radiu£, but exe’s can be changed or hidden inside, and viruses detectors are alright but then can later be changed and have to probably verify it over and over again.

What’s also a red flag Is it having no official websites, I don’t think there is a verified creator yet, and there are still problems that the game has, following what I throughly said before with my first message on top.

I didn’t hear anyone though say they have been hacked by the game at all which is good, and could be a point for that.

But obviously your still going to meet people who can hack, be dangerous, or rude towards you with insane behavior, which is a obviously bad if the game is short on moderation and growing a lot quicker then expected.
