Yeah, the underage and toxicity issues were real, but that alone wouldn’t shut the game down. Apart from little kids, Rec Room built a strong community many people played it to escape the real world because it felt like a safe space. Roblox, Fortnite, and other big games also have underage players, but there’s only so much you can do as a developer. Unlike those other games though, rec room built something good. The bigger issue for Rec Room was still the economy and sustainability; free tokens, creator payouts, and server costs. Child safety was a concern, but it wasn’t what made the game financially unsustainable
