Room owners being able to turn off voice chat moderation for hosts and above

Before I start I am concerned that this report will be given an auto reply because what I'm talking about, so whenever I say "VMS" I am referring to the system that restricts the usage of microphones in game automatically for moderation purposes.

As a staff member in ^DetroitHoodRP I have been recently, and often VMS most certainly due to explaining the in game rules in ^DetroitHoodRP.

As one of many members I am speaking for in DetroitHoodRP, I am coming today about how I believe that because of repeat false VMS, that has been put in place due to explaining the in game rules, the VMS has become extremely sensitive and poses an unfair moderation fault that is compromising our ability to make part of Rec Room and DetroitHoodRP a better place.

The reason standing for this is because one of the only ways that we as staff members communicate to our players is via microphone, false VMS is compromising allot of our member base, a couple of which is getting VMS for unknown reasons, a coworker of mine was VMS before even talking to people in game.

This is infuriating for many people other than staff in DetroitHoodRP as a few have been VMS for over 2 days straight.

In conclusion I to ask if it is possible to have this insecurity investigated and what i believe to be the VMS 'sensitivity' to be cranked down GREATLY.

This issue also comes with allot more problems, new users that have a VMS 'fresh start' are out in Rec Room breaking the VMS rules left right and center but yet not being VMS.

The VMS is from experience VERY unfair, and may actually make the overall experience of Rec Room worse, I believe that the VMS department need to seriously consider revamping and investing in the VMS.

So what I'm gathering from this is

You want the option to basically un voice ban yourself and other people in your room as you wish?

The Voice moderation system definitely works, I admit sometimes it may be out of wack, you can take that up with a zendesk support.

But it can take up to 48 hours for the voice moderation system to actually Voice ban you,

As you get flagged by the VMS, it becomes more sensitive every time.
I got 3, 24 hour voice bans back to back, the third one was for say "f~ you"
All I had to do was watch my mouth for a few days, and it goes back down to normal.

This is a stupid request honestly, how does this even work?

That doesn't make sense, if you legitimately think explaining rules is getting you vcb take it up with support

Support receives an auto response as expected as no real humans do their job at zendesk.

Excuse me? TF you mean "no real humans do their job"? They're not alien creatures, they're people like you and me. They do their job quite well in all honesty. Look me in the eye and tell me this is automated, it's not. Sometimes they use preset responses for common questions. That's it.

Asking about things will get you places.

As for voice chat bans, that's not how things work. Voice chat is recorded in Rec Room, if you say anything inappropriate or against the CoC, the game will automod voice ban you. That's it. You cannot appeal your voice bans as they keep no record of your voice.

If you don't want to deal with that, go use a voice chat in discord. It's free, and encrypted.

Sorry man, you can't ask to be unbanned with voice bans. They're not appealable. You have to wait out your ban.

I sent this almost exact message to zendesk support, and recieved an automated response about how "you cannot appeal your voice moderation misconduct"

Yes. You can't. You should read terms of service before you play video games. They have Zendesk block and Voice Ban appeals automatically.

Why would they waste time responding to a thing they can't help with?

However, instead of responding with anything related to the question, (such as "this will not be implemented") they sent their automated response.

...to the voice chat bans not being appealable? Yeah. I just said they have Zendesk automatically respond to those as they cannot help you with that request.

This is like asking a guy who doesn't have a can opener if he can open a can of tuna. Of course he'll say "I can't, I don't have a can opener".
