#RecRoom Currently Violates Steam Ad Policies

they break an us law also...
yes
It's about paid advertisements. As in someone gives Rec Room money, not as a collab, and Rec Room gives ads
Basically mobile game ads
Also, doesn't this only happen on VR? Idk if that makes a difference
And in any case, it only takes a single button to close
It happens on everything
I play on PC and I've never had the pop up until I log on to VR
no no it doesnt
STOP GLAZING RECROOM AND TRYING TO DEFEND THEM
There's a difference between glazing and combating nonstop negativity
all you ever do in this server is complain, it gets annoying
Difference between glazing and telling you that what they're doing is allowed.
Not pc its about steam did you read anything it said
You don't need to DM me the image 50 times and call me a dumbarse mr tempvo
Yeah! You need to do that to me!
"Engage with advertisements in order to play" A pop up ad for cosmetics does not violate this.
Also, a little bit further into it says "Making your game free to play with optional upgrades sold via Microtransactions or Downloadable Content" Which is what it does with the bundles.
The second point does not apply, there are no watch for rewards feature in Rec Room. I believe this part was misinterpreted, seeing an advert shouldn't affect gameplay is what it is implying.
Rec Room has never been in a sale, bundle, or franchise.
Rec Room has collaborated with other brands and have displayed them in the Rec Center with proper permissions or licenses.
Adding onto the second point
Making it so that you need to watch an ad to play the game is not allowed
Giving rewards to player who watch ads is not allowed
That is what "Developers should not use advertising as a way to provide value to players, such as giving players a reward for watching or engaging with advertising in their game." implies
Perhaps Rec Room is breaking some other policies but this one is not the one
They're a small child who gets mad when peoven wrong.
their profile says they arent in any mutual servers
Because they blocked you.

What law
heh, wouldn't you like to know
This is the same user who's talked about making a class action lawsuit and whatnot. He's not in a good frame of mind.
Good on you for dissecting their point, but honestly they didn't have one in the first place.
They also had a great time freaking out over Rec Room's moderation. I understand it needs to get fixed, but they whined and yelled over it. This shouldn't be a catfight, it should be a debate.
