I have no idea how noise works, but I really want to make a mountain climbing game, and I was wondering what would be a good way to create a sort of staircase-shaped mountain where you climb for like 500 meters and then there's a plateau for a camp and then it repeats

You could try making a handful of terrains but then have them layer on top of eachother so they clip in and out of eachother, making them look a little more unique each time they're used?
