I want to do videos on rec room but I don't have a pc for it, and I think it's a good idea for people who don't have a pc but have a MQ3 or 3s for do videos with different POV and not just our POV.
Thanks for reply.

#1 Streamer camera is Really resource heavy
#2 Streamer camera just replaces the Desktop Window to be a streamer camera
#3 Streamer camera doesn't record, it needs other program like OBS
#4 Its outdated
#5 Its not Gtag so get out

The streamer cam works on EVERYTHING except Meta Quest headsets, and Rec Room said It was because of what permissions they have access to on Quest headsets compared to Pico headsets or Android phones. So sharing your screen on Quest won't work like it does on your phone. (This is was said before rec room was really "falling" off)

and yet you cant use it properly

#

because its a standalone headset with nothing to cast to

#

mobile doesnt have it either

#

nor xbox

#

How would streamer cam even work? That's the real question

#

Considering the resources it needs to run and such, it'll more or less crash the game because running the game in general uses a lot of resources due to the terrible optimizations this game has

#

I've said this in another post about standalone streamer cam

I'm pretty sure you need to share your screen, its possible, I'm pretty sure you need to share your screen to a TV, and then launch Rec Room. You should end up having the option for Streamer Cam. For Android, there is actually a setting to emulate another screen in the developer settings, and Rec Room also detects that, allowing you to have streamer cam without connecting to anything.

i guess it would work

streamer cam is fully possible for rec room , its possible in a game called Tactical Assault VR, they have their own "streamer cam" whicha actually works.

Streamer cam is mid anyway

Like if you got it on quest you’d use it for a week

#

Then forget about it

Rec Room on Quest 3 usually runs at 45 FPS. Rec Room is heavily unoptimized.

VR already renders everything twice, which is why VR is challenging to run.

The streamer cam makes everything render 3 times instead.

The streamer cam also doesn't record, and just adds another camera for the screen to show.

So for it you'd need a computer, 3rd party screen recorder, and the the ability to stomach very low framerate.

#

It also isn't really worth the effort for Rec Room to add due to being mostly pointless, especially when it'll cost them more money to port over and no make any money, which is also an issue when they are facing the risk of bankruptcy.

#

Quest is also one of the smaller platforms.
