A company’s anniversary is not a surprise event. It’s a predictable annual
milestone that players look forward to, especially for a platform with such a vibrant and creative community. The Rec Room anniversary has ALWAYS been a time to bring players together, celebrate community achievements, and reflect on how far the game has come. To let it slip by without any real acknowledgement feels like a missed opportunity and sends the message that the community’s enthusiasm and loyalty (atleast to me) aren't being as valued as it should.
We understand that priorities shift and resources can be tight, but completely skipping this event and saying its "short notice" for a date known well in advance comes off as careless. A simple gesture, even something as small as a themed room, would have been nice to see... Especially since they are going out of their way to give us this Anime event, and pushing towards Ai, it just feels like when it comes to something made for the actual community, even for the players who don't spend much money, it goes into a lower priority. This same exact thing I feel like happened with Rec Con from last year, where we didn't even get a new color for the hoodies. Just a hollow version of what used to be such a anticipated event.
#No Rec Room Birthday Celebration...

Kinda sucks, but we got a hat
Yeah, I was just... surpised to see nothing. Not even the birthday floats
It shows how behind they are
They were also a month or so late to actually give us a hat or anything
Exactly, which is why I had created this post because without that hat, even I as a player forgot about their birthday because it wasn't something they cared about to annnounce on a large scale.
Hopefully the next invasion event and rec con this year aren't as bad
And are better planned
Most definitely
rec con better be as good as last years one
Wouldn’t be surprised if they trash rec con tbh
they better do a big celebration for rec room’s 10 year anniversary, i had a few ideas in mind
similarly to the minecraft 15 year anniversary world, you could go to different rooms and it would show you major additions to the game, and even use old items, like beta rake or the sandbox machine. it would end with a 2016 style door that takes you to the locker room.
i think that’s too ambitious tho
why don't we just build a map for it
Yeah a decade is a big deal, it better be a rec con by its self, like I want it all for the 10th birthday
Like a mix of rec con and invasion all in one y'know
