#Fix the Voice restriction system

In recent times this week I have gotten voice restricted for no reason I cuss a lot it’s in my vocabulary and I never had a problem with refs voice restriction before when I did one time I did say something that slipped out and I got voice restricted but now it’s just targets me and I can barely even talk with out getting voice restricted this game is really falling apart and was better when it’s was in the older systems and didn’t have problems now done features are good like the customization and I like the full body but every thing else sucks I like to be able to make friends but I can’t even fucking do that if I get voice restricted all the time and I have heard of this happening to other please fix this rec creator

I understand that the more you get restricted the more likely you are to be restricted again.

But I agree in recent times (the past 2 weeks)
I've noticed it too, the times I get VCB I accept it as a punishment for violating the rules.
But there's times I don't say anything outrageous, I try my hardest to watch what I say and to keep my mouth shut, but then I get restricted again.

TL;DR: Voice mod accurate, watch what you say!!

I should explain how the moderation works before I or you say anything! First off I don’t work at Rec Room.

Alright so the Voice Moderation works by first detecting a possible voice infraction, it will flag it depending on the severity. It will then check for more possible infractions in your conversation. This reviewing process takes some time to complete so the Voice restrictions never happen instantly.

The voice moderation system has been rigorously tested with different accents and tones of speech, using hundreds of thousands of hours of voice recording. However, even though it is very accurate it has a 5% False Discovery Rate. This means there will be a small amount of doubt as to whether or not you did have an infraction. And going back to what I said earlier, the more infractions you have the less doubt the system will have. Then the punishment gets given.

Rec Room uses Modulate.ai’s ToxMod, which is also used by games like Call Of Duty, GTA, and other multiplayer VR games like Breachers, Among Us VR, Yeeps, etc.

However, this does not mean you can’t swear; you just shouldn't direct it at anyone. The system can detect that based on emotion, voice acts, and the listener's responses. **This means even though you aren't swearing, you still might be restricted due to how you talk to other people. ** You are 100% allowed to swear just don't direct it towards anyone and refrain from saying anything derogatory.

You can submit a ticket, however they do not have a system for voice restriction appeals. (The voice restrictions are usually short enough that it clears up before any support staff gets to it.)
