I don’t mind the change. I am mostly just glad that they didn’t go about deleting all the archived channels like last time. I have already just hidden all the channels I never chat in or look in which has cleaned it up to my liking.

I feel like this channel adjustment feels a tad bit unnecessary imo it’s just gonna split this community here up which it’s already thing enough why make it thinner? Or one channel will die and the other will stay the same having a useless channel that has added nothing to anything maybe it can be a channel for new people if they specifically need rr questions and don’t wanna get the msg cluttered but that’s all I see it being used for which is probably a rare site and won’t happen much or at all imo not the most useful channel. New channel idea league topic chat 💔

As someone who has been active here for 4 years I don’t think this new change is a good idea. Like physicx said, it’s just going to split the community up. We had this before and it didn’t work so why bring it back?

We have feedback channels, but the community often does not use them. General was split so that we could grab some of your feedback in #rec-room-on-topic. It was very unlikely that staff would see anything in general previously, since the chat went too fast.
We made these changes in hopes that new joiners would understand where to find things. Previously, channels were scattered about. We hope you will like the changes after getting used to them.

Feedback discussion is more for directed discussion around specific topics. It has its place

I think it’s cool - I think that maybe the creative stuff and help channels could be moved up, but I understand that the discord needs things to work a certain way. I really liked the splitting of general tho, think it was a good move to have an off-topic channel to separate the people who want to talk about rec room to those who would converse on their own.
