Bud, I do CV2, I play PvPs and I basically spend all day in Rec Room and I have noticed ZERO technical differences in anything to do with cv2 or pvps
You are straight making things up because you're blinded by nostalgia despite the fact that you've most likely only been playing for 3 years at max

I know they improved the bean I thought they were going to add improvements throughout monthly but I guess not
Hear are a couple more improvements I wish came:

• When crouching down for quest players the camera moves down a lined with ur mouth when looking into the mirror

• Animation in between when going from stand to completely on the floor, the animation looks buggy

• When people are drawing, for example vr playerss, still move players around even tho barriers are turned off which is strange cuz players trying to move the person around should just go straight through and the person that’s being moved should stay fine :\

Anyway, the least they could've done with this "new bean" is them actually copying the structure and movement of the classic bean to the T while upgrading it to the new system.

Apparently, Ondog says the issue is more than it just being old, it was a bad system. The problem with that is, it was quite manageable all the way up to its deletion so the excuse seemed pretty basic, and more like a way to just be up to date with all the new FBA things and customization content, including UGC. Trying not to be Captain Obvious here, just pointing that out.

In other words, we're all FBAs now, and there's nothing we can do about it unless they change it back to its former glory while still being in the same software. That was their motive, right? So with that in mind, there was basically no consent, and only lying. Not to mention that they already said they made it more like the classic bean in old announcement in-game, when it wasn't. The only thing "like the classic bean" is the hands because those are the only things you can adjust on that laggy vegetable.

Besides lag, since that's a universal issue that everyone has (and only made the lag worse), it would be the positions and animations that make it unbearable to play on.

I've adapted to it, but it's still a hot mess compared to the classic bean.

but general wise, there are many more features available on modern bean that just makes the old bean seem unfinished

I have been playing since 2019 so I have been used to having basic things and not realistic features because to me that is one of the things that made rec room rec room. Now, that may just be me being stubborn but now I feel that now it’s more inclusive but some things aren’t well in that category. We need more skin colors and not necessarily a whole new bean. When mine got switched over it changed a lot. This is coming from a fresh adult.

The body turned unnaturally skinny, the face became uncanny and it doesn’t look proportional. They hands don’t seem to fit the bean body no matter how I adjust it, the head to shoulder ratio just seems very off, it’s either you have a lot of space between the two or the torso is very long. I do not like the new animation along with the new bean because it is either hunched over or severely arched and the running looks like i’m professionally jogging a marathon. I wish I could share a picture of what I looked like when I had to switch over. It was..something.

Something I like about the new bean is the fact that I can use new custom creations since before it was only available to wear on full body/new bean body and not old bean body and I can modify my body to make it more realistic to mine in real life but adding more things like having eyebrows and noses just don’t quite suit the bean body look. I think if players want that kind of realism it’s best to just use it with full body. I enjoyed how it was originally while it was being tested. Where players could choose between new or old bean body or full body. I just don’t want to be forced on to the new bean body.

Another thing is, Rec Room is lacking the nostalgia it used to hold. We have to depend on that in rooms. Bean body has changed, no jeer, new reactions, new watch designs, the word fart is no longer censored(don’t ask I just know), new dorm rooms, new circuits, new room versions, roomies, impressive clothing options, it is all just different. What keeps the old feel is the rros and the og players.

I don’t see why this matters that much, they are just allowing for better character customization

Keeping the classic bean would have loads of issues with circuits as they change things and they would have to take the time to make sure everything works with the classic bean which is simply not worth it

LimitsV2 will simply be objectively better. If RecRoom decided to completely revamp RoomsV1 and give it the capabilities of LimitsV2 there would be a much better increase of rooms with not only more elements to use, but better game support.

this just sounds like an excuse to not learn cv2 tbh. Cv1 makes learning cv2 even more difficult, and it takes way more time to understand cv1 than it does with cv2. Also, interaction volumes are a cv2 component.

Well don’t get me wrong there’s only some CV2 I know, which includes things like subroom teleportation with both interaction and trigger volumes, gates, some minor animation chips. However role chips have always been the most essential part of maps for a while. I will always prefer using Role chips for giving fly over making an entire complicated systems to give fly
