For a bit of context, I made a clubhouse room a long time ago as a private hangout thing more or less for me and my best friend and friend group. We wanted to make it feel safe and make everyone feel loved and important there, and we spent hundreds and hundreds of hours doing so. We didn’t have to worry about toxic people joining or things or people breaking the code of conduct, as they wouldn’t exist here. Even things such as giving everyone the option to recolor their name, give themselves a new title, have their own trail, etc. we spent countless hours laughing and spending quality time together there, which is the best time I have spent on rec room. It’s like we all had our own mansion and our own rules, where we made our own bedrooms and kicked anyone or anything out that didn’t make people feel safe, or didn’t follow our rules or the code of conduct.

But I get on today, and the room is deleted. I was never given a reason why, it just said “the room is not active.” It has dissapeared from my tabs. Now, the hundreds of hours and memories has been absolutely crushed for no apparent reason. Nothing in there broke the code of conduct or got reported, and it was a private room that never even got published. There was even a hierarchy system of people who had the authority to ban or kick players if they broke the rules or the code of conduct, and that was the number 1 thing that we made sure was the focus. Yet, rec room doesn’t care.

I genuinely feel so bad for the other players who hate this game, had their rooms deleted, and the devs that got fired. Rest in peace to the coolest creation I have ever made in my entire life I guess.

You can make a Zendesk ticket if you did not have an invention in the room that broke the CCoC. They will review what invention was acted on.

There were nearly no inventions in that room at all. I have a vivid memory that I made everything myself, aside from a few decorations that were definitely not against the code of conduct.

It deleted the room for an invention that wasn’t apart of the room.

I made my own music playlist in the room using rec room studio and it deleted the room for another invention that was a music playlist, despite the fact I never spawned any of that

I read all of this, none of the room broke the code of conduct. The whole point of the room was to have an area where people could feel safe and not have to worry about any toxic thing or person being there.

As a matter of fact, he was the other owner of the room and could send pictures of the room as well, nothing there broke the code of conduct

The moderation shouldn’t have removed the rooms simply because of one bad apple, some of us worked pretty hard just to have it taken away because of one invention that is considered bad by a small amount of people.

Yeah, I worked hundreds of hours and the room has existed for over a year and a half now. It used about %550 ink and 2500 circuits, instead of just deleting the invention that you thought was bad (by the way, the invention in question didn’t even exist in that room) but instead deleting the whole room. I’m not sure how much people have lost their important things to them but mine was the best thing I have ever made in my entire history of gaming
