Combatant receive damage
Can trigger volumes even detect AI right now?
Cuz like updates change things lol.
As Ardenis already said, use combatant receive damage (if that's the name ingame, could be something different).
However make sure that the person running the chip, is room authority
How would I attach the AI combatant onto it though?
This is probably an outdated way of doing this, but I used an old tool to make this. It might look something like this.

couldnt you remove the "if player should run" chips inside the trigger volume so it doesnt work for just the room auth?

Combatant chips have to run on room auth. No one else can do it. Those chips afaik and understand, run on cv1 logic. So it has to be room auth
Yeah uhh, I can’t say with any degree of certainty what chips you need. If you’re getting rec room object from the event, you probably want a from rec room object to get the sub type AI, that might do it
Stevy is right "From Rec Room Object" and tag your enemy to filter out walls and other objects.
