Look into parabola, that's more the curved path it sounds like you're looking for, i assume the pendulum equation thing applies weight to it, which you can figure out after i guess lol

If you mean to say you're confused about the 2nd and 3rd bits the arrows are pointing to, they're just showing how you'd rearrange it to isolate the other 2 values.
Oh unless you mean what those values represent is unclear? I found where the image is from, T is time, L is length, and g is gravity
