#My FPS keeps dropping from the 100s and getting stuck at a cap of 45 FPS in screen mode.

I just got a Quest 3 and stopped playing on screen mode. Now, I use Virtual Desktop at ultra settings with 120 FPS. Sometimes, I’ll take a break and switch back to screen mode when I feel like it, but for some weird reason, my FPS in Rec Room screen mode drops from the 100s and gets stuck at 45 FPS. It never goes below 45; it just stays there. When I play in VR, though, it runs at a higher FPS with no issues.

Is there a way to fix this issue?

Here are my specs:

  • RX 7900 XT 20 GB

  • Ryzen 9 9900X

  • 32 GB RAM

It happens to me on PC when I’m on my main and I spawn in my dorm I start lagging by 20 fps or 19 fps But on my alt, it runs about 50 to 60

one feature was randomly removed from my main, now my game's fps is locked, so weird...

like the interaction volume role filter is gone for me. that was the feature

That explanes my issue. why cant rec room ever make something that works. I wonder if its because the account is older. some fetures are not on newer/older accounts.

Easy fix, you have NVIDIA card go to settings then disable Battery Saver or Whisper Mode, i don't know anything about AMD cause it sucks. but it may be simmilar

Puro, it's not a hardware issue but thanks for the help!

However it's a split test that occurs on Rec Room. It just that if I go on my main account, I get a forced 45 fps but going on another account, I get higher frames.
