As a low-end Computer Gamer with a very underpowered computer, I propose some ideas to make the quality settings more customizable and be able to run rec room smoother than ever. (NOTE: I am not a rec room staff, these are suggestions. I don't know if its possible to add these and some of the suggestions are guesses on how the game works.)
Idea 1: Rendering Resolution
Add an option to decrease/increase the rendering resolution. Since I have a underpowered computer, I have many times have to add certain commands to the advanced launch options in steam to make the game run better, as this means less light rays are calculated and thus the game runs better
Idea 2: Baked Lighting Option
This is to be able to switch between pre-calculated light and real-time lighting, I think this is possible as rec room uses baked lighting for the Metaquest 2. This could help bring more low-end gamers to the game.
Idea 3: LOD Option
Allow a slider that snaps to five options
1 - Little LOD 2 - Recommended 3 - Low End 4 - Very Low End 5 - Ultra Low End
This will determine the strictness of the LOD (Level of Detail) This could help with performance again and can make games
look better for the High End Gamers.
These are my suggestions, I don't mind if there not added but this could help everyone in the community, and also to lower the minimum requirements so more people know they can play there favourite game.
