because builders are not co owners. there is a difference there. builders are more like contributors because they contributed to the map. they didn't come up with the idea and they don't own the map with the actual owner of the map so they are not co owner. simple as that. ๐
but they helped build it, shouldn't that mean that they own it considering they made it? i understand that they're contributing, so you think they would get contributor. but depending on how much they built, why not give them co owner so they get some credit?
because if i allow them to be co owner then they will want to take control of the map and anything i do with the map i will have to talk to them about first. thats not how it works. I've been in this situation before where builders try to get co owner status just cause they built a few things for a map i made. they wanted to take control of everything and not let me make the map how i wanted it. its better to make them contributor and be done with it. at least they still get tokens for their work.
and just cause they built it doesn't mean they own it 100% cause it would be the way i want it and the way i decide its built not their way of building it. they would just be helping to build it as i tell them what i want done.
If you didn't do much for the map, aka you didn't put in as much effort as your builders then they deserve co owner, if you think they can take control then just remove their room settings permissions or wtv, but they deserve co
what do you mean didn't do much for the map? if i come up with the idea and i go through each thing that is done with the map and make sure everything is exactly how i want it to be and how i decide it to be and not the builders choice, then its my map not the builder because the builder wouldn't be creating the map all by themselves. nothing they create would be their creation. it would be my creation cause i would make sure its how i want it not how the builder wants it so the builder would get no say into how things are done. so no they don't deserve co. you obviously don't know the definition of co owner. a co owner means someone who owns something with someone. the builder doesn't own anything that gets built in the map. only i do. so the builder is not a co owner. only a contributor because the builder contributed in building the map but doesn't own any of it.
Mate just coming up with the idea isn't enough when people are doing the work for you not knowing if they're even gonna earn anything
Like they should get co if they're gonna make most of it and all you did was make the idea
bro. do you not know the definition of co owner? co owner means someone owns something with someone. just cause the builder does the work don't mean that builder owns what that builder has made in my map because the builder is giving me what the builder has made and not keeping for themselves. and its not just the ideas that i come up with. i work with the builder to create my own creation/map that i come up with and i create all on my own with the help of the builder to do small stuff like circuits and other cv2 related stuff that I don't know how to do. simple as that. and just cause the builder does cv2 or circuit stuff, they deserve co owner? like fr? and I'm not asking for people to help with creating the entire map either. i already have something I'm currently working on and just wanted help finishing it with the circuits and cv2 related stuff. but you decided to assume that i wanted the builder to make most of the map. ๐
and tbh, you have ruined this post. congratulations. what do you want? a cookie? ๐ช
Dude, if your tryna get people to work on your map then givr them co for credit.
nah. they be contributors or mods only. not co. they don't own the map. they may own a few things in the map cause they made those things but they don't own the entire map. I can't just give co to everyone who wants to work on my map. it don't work like that. you obviously don't know what you are talking about.
If they did most of the map then they own a lot of it
If you got people to do all the cv2 and building and you did nothing but get the idea then its them who made the map and them who own it
Also great response. Had me shaking and crying
the person who is the owner of the map owns the map regardless of who made the things in the map. and who said they will be making most of the map? i already have a map already that I'm working on. i just needed help with the cv2 and circuits stuff. thats it. I'm fully capable of doing the rest.
Then if people did all the CV2 they own the CV2 and should be listed as a co-owner
Just because you own the map dont mean you own the CV2
Like people did that to me (started giving my CV2 out and claiming it as theirs) and i got the room taken down with it
Point being
If they made all the CV2
They should get co.
i have made maps before and had countless people help me make maps. not once did they try to claim anything in the maps that was made. and you act like everybody who helps make something in the map deserves co. I can't just give everyone co just cause they contributed in helping build. thats not how it works.
dude, anyone that helps should get co. like if they made something small give cont but if they made all the cv2 in a map then giver them co. its called not being a nob-head
this game literally says a co owner has significant responsibility and decision authority for the room and a contributor has managed creative control over the room. a contributor is for builders. co is not for builders. co is for owners. those are 2 completely separate things. builders do not have authority as to what goes on in the map. maybe learn to read what each one of them say in the game and what they mean.
This dude is like arguing with a wall
co owner can be for builders. they can build and have control over the room, they are literally the ones making it. the room wouldnt exist without them. but i understand that you just want help with a room, and you arent looking for another owner.
yes but do they not contribute something to the map meaning they added something to the map that they don't plan on owning/keeping for themselves? if so, they would be contributors and not co owner. am i correct on that?
i just said that i understand why you would want them as contributor
