Honestly, I think rec room will be able to revive itself, The updates are mostly going in a good direction and they're listening to the community slightly more now, although they were so lazy they couldn't even recolor a hoodie for us, which worries me. Just my opinion.

The devs seem to be pushing some good updates at the moment along with some experimental features.
I think they're prioritizing future features over some current events/issues, however there is potential for more strength, especially with Nintendo Switch access over the horizon.

Rec Room has the benefit of having free access with a wide variety of devices. Sometimes the player base is questionable, but it is an internet game, so this is not preventable.

Exactly! If Rec Room went down this path, this would be the beginning of the end, however they are improving the automated voice moderation, and with the creator 3-strike system, this could be good for room quality and member behavior.

Definitely. RR thankfully doesn't have too much homophobia and stuff like that, since the game is literally built on diversity and self-expression. The few times I've played Vrchat, I encountered way more casual homophobia than I ever have on rec room

This is always the danger with these types of games; there are always someone who wishes to disrupt everyone else experience.
RR has always championed inclusivity, and they do action problematic members. Thankfully I've never played VRchat, but I've heard the same from others about the quality of the player base.

Fr Vrchat is a toxic mess. And RR has so much more in terms of gameplay and creativity, which is why I like it waaaaay more than vrchat

I'm glad RR is starting to remove these Skibidi Toilet rooms and events. They are far too common and often poor quality.
I like to artistic rooms, especially the fall themed ones (the best time of the year). 🍂

Sometimes you have to really search for these great rooms, but there's some talented creators out there that don't get much recognition. Some of the best rooms I've come across randomly.
