Are you using a trail?
Cause, if so, every set amount of time you could add the current head position of the snake to a list and then remove the last index of the list only if the list has more than 10 or whatever number
Then you can just follow those vectors to create a trail
Or I’m pretty sure some people just use a trail and then extend the life on said trail but for the games you’re talking about they use segments
