I've been playing Rec Room since way back in November of 2016. I've loved this game since I started playing. 2017 was an enjoyable year, not many memories from then, but still fun. 2018 is when Rec Room really took off with a rise in players. Everyone I met at the time said "It's VR Fortnite" because of the Rec Royale mode. Rec Royale was fun for it's time, but now It's stale, untouched since release. Stuck in time, waiting for something to happen. 2019 rolls around, "Stunt Runner" came out, I was just excited to finally have a fun multiplayer VR Game with actual parkour as a game element. 2020, New Paintball map and new Paintball items. It was a bit boring since I don't really enjoy paintball, never really have. But that does mean new weapons for PvP maps. 2021, Vehicles finally get added. Rec Rally, the Mario Kart of VR releases. It was fun for the first week, then died off due to a lack of updates. 2022, Probably the worst year for RRO Games. Showdown. Made entirely with Rec Room Studio and the Maker Pen. Even though the game was a buggy mess, it was a step in the right direction for the creative community. 2023, Make it to Midnight. More RRS games and updates, More bug fixes for RRS. but, no updates to bugs in other RRO games. Now here in 2024, My Little Monsters. They release it and say they won't be adding anything to it, What released with the game is what will always be there in the game.
Aside from all of the game changes, there have been many community changes over the years. 2016, Everything VR is still new, nobody really knows what to do and how to play. The Developers actively talking and playing with their small community. It was calm. 2017, PSVR happens late in the year. This is when more children got into the game. It was always fun to mess with these kids, because funny. 2018, The E Daters started to show up. This is when I knew the game was going to go down hill. 2019, The "skids" are finally here. Since then, this game has slowly gotten less fun.
