Rec room needs to make their security for accounts just better

So I had gotten hacked on rec room and was not notified by anything until last second, and I wasn’t notified by rec room, instead my friend sent me a screenshot of someone in my account, they were selling it for 8 US dollars. I find it horrible that rec room didn’t give me any notifications about mysterious behavior in my account, I changed my password and all that just now but I think rec room needs to up their game. That’s all I have to say update your security system rec room because if someone hacks your account you spent more than 100 dollars on then you obviously would be pissed the heck off especially since their was no heads up from rec room like an email or anything.

NOTE - Rec room, people can easily steal account by just making contact with another rec room player such as a handshake or hi five. Hackers can steal an account just by doing that, you need to make your game safe from hackers

It happens I’ve seen people get hacked just by doing that something with the code of some software that gives you a code and do stuff with it to steal accounts

There is no other explaination there is a whole server dedicated towards stealing accounts and selling them and i heard that is their method of account stealing.

I don’t have it unfortunately but I’m sure you can find some with the help of searching deep on google or something

It's highly unlikely that a Rec Room handshake can hack you. The game is designed with security in mind, and handshakes are just animations with no data transfer. Hacking usually happens through things like phishing or weak passwords, not in-game actions. If this method was real, it would be widely reported and investigated.

A) they can't really warn you if your account is about to be hacked if it hasn't happened yet pal

B) it's on you for not taking care of your account to insure it doesn't get hacked (have an auto generated password, enable 2fa and that kinda stuff)

C) as FourManager said, you can't get hacked by making interaction with another player in game like a high-five or a handshake
