I don't think the switch could run rec room
If it can run hello neighbor then it can run rr
The next quest will look absolutely horrid so it will run on switch🔥🔥🔥
Bruh
splootybean quest
Fr
Yeah
I don't think you realise how good the switch actually is when it comes to running games
nope
all i know is rr isnt very optimised
Bro if a phone can run rec room then a switch can
Key thing "all I know" the switch is one of the best handheld gaming devices so if it can't run it I don't think phones should be able to either
Or even an oculus
just the experience i have with the current watch and makerpen menu
What do you play on?
pc
Specs?
rx 5600 xt, AMD ryzen 5 3600 6 core , windows 10 in vr
That's a decent setup
But everyone experience bugs
You could be running a 4090,Ryzen 9 ect and still have bugs
i dont think itll run well but it isnt gonna effect creators all too well,
only major one is "copyright infringement" is being heavily inforced now
I feel the performance will be a slightly better version of the mobile port. The switch really isn't AS weak as people say but any modern room running on the switch is gonna crash quick.
This means it will be up too creators to not absolutely overload their rooms it is possible to optimise rooms made by players
I don't think its about if its able to run rr. Rather about the down sides and the community of nintendo branding.
Nintendo is targeted to families and children. They make games that are more to their own brand and community. Most nintendo users play on the switch for nintendos games. This and the community not really wanting rec room as much than the psvr2. MakeS this port a bad idea being with a massive amount of the community wants a psvr2 port to rec room.
Psvr2 is known to run very well on 4k graphics. This alone makes the PSVR2 a great console for rec rooms Playstation player base. Not to mention psvr2 doesn't have Vr chat or roblox, making rec room a great contender.
However, we have been told that a psvr2 port isnt planned. Nintendo doesn't run nor play as well than Playstation when it comes to rec room. Rec room would've made more money on Playstation if they went for psvr2 port instead of the nintendo switch.
Rec room is basically giving the OG community the middle finger after weeklys being removed, and the AMA that rec room did.
This is just hard to watch, rec room giving up the people who love the game soo much from their community.
you also gotta take into consideration its a whole new group of people that have money to spend on rec room which is a good move finacially for rec room
And psvr2 isn't a new group of people that could spend money?
between a outdated device vs a pretty recent vr system that is pretty fast Is the choice to port not a compelling one?
playstation has been compatable for years so its not a "new group" its an expansion for people who can already play and second is that it makes more sense to go to switch since its older and could be worked on for longer
months versus over 5 years seems more like a better idea
Yes but the psvr2 is definitely a new market People switch to new devices all the time because of New spec upgrades like the psvr2 And this "Expansion" also brings in any old players that haven't played rec room for whatever reason.
Also "The switch 2" is in the works So what then? Knowing nintendo the process will be annoying to port that over.
with the switch 2 coming out it most likely be 90% hardware and 10% ui upgrades so porting it to the switch to shouldnt be that hard but on the otherhand the psvr2 isnt a standalone vr or a pc vr so if players wanted to run max graphics that will also alow good performance then a whole lot of work needs to happen also there is a reason why its coming to switch first and that is because of surveys and what the people doing those surveys choose
switch rec room is rec room
Yeah
I think its good cuz the variety of ppl playing rec room can go up, but kids can get on, but its good if u dont have a phone and u need to get on rec room to say somthing, i feel like the only downside is the kids, you dont even need a online subscription to play rec room
I still want a Psvr2 port
Honestly its okay as long they allow psvr2 have a port as well.
Imagine if it Can run crescendo on Switch but not quest 2 etc
Very real your right
That Switch is gonna be eating all that unlimited memory for breakfast via my SD card (it's too much for it to handle.)
Yeah
There is a new article saying not all the games will be on switch so yeah
People need to realize that it's just another console like Xbox or PS. I was less concerned as to how it would be played because you can actually connect wirelessly to a handheld controller (not the joystick because how tf would that work,) but more concerned about how much data it could handle from a Unity game.
Good idea
We need rec room to set an exact date, like i understand it will take a while, but if its gonna take forever, why get us excided?
According to Gribbly, they're doing some kinda pre-order update thing on Rec.Net to let you know when you can get it on the switch.
yeh ik i even signed up for it (Just for the headphones)
Yea I signed up and I will play on Nintendo switch
Oh good. Those headphones look fire tbh.
yeahh i think there pretty cool lookin, but rec room hasnt emailed anyone saying anything about the date
I hope it will be sometime in August
yeh at most they said it at ike 7/8 i think
So we got some time left before they put it on there. This is only the beginning.
u mean aug 7/8?
...
no bruh July 8th, ima dirty american
