just take a look at the rooms around Rec Room just cash grabs, ignited games, the whole "SkibidiFun" games💀 and the creators get so much tokens that it leads to them getting golden items that they flex about everywhere like buddy what to flex about if you post the same garbage quality rooms every single day and exploit little kids to spend tokens on some big paint launchers

when i look at some old rooms (like from 2018) people were actually creative with what they build and put effort into the rooms

I'm gonna give you a few things on why Rec Room doesn't do anything about these types of rooms, even though they are against the Creator Code of Conduct.

  1. It keeps kids engaged.
Kids will click on anything that is obby related or brainrot costume party etc. Anything that pops out to them, they will play, which in turn keeps them more engaged to Rec Room as a whole.

  2. Money
Whenever a creator adds a lot of things that are meant to be bought by kids, those kids will use their money, or sometimes their parents money to purchase those items. It makes the creator money, and it makes Rec Room money. That's why Rec Room doesn't do anything about these types of rooms, and why creators are so messed up.

  3. The Rec Room moderation (for creators) kind of sucks.
Creators are responsible for whatever ordeal or transaction they make with other people. That's why when people get scammed, Rec Room chooses not to do anything about it. Most creators are extremely toxic to other creators, and will get mad when they don't get their way (I've had this happen to me multiple times) They do not get punished either, because the creators are the backbone of Rec Room, and are part of the reason why Rec Room gets money.

So, as long as Rec Room makes a profit, they will not do anything about this.

Rec room is losing money, actually.

Even though kids will buy tokens for those games, rec room STILL has to fund those games because THEY made profit as well because little Timmy bought their stuff, so rec room mostly breaks even. Because rec room is free on nearly all platforms, they also have to pay server fees to keep the game running. Combine that with only breaking even, and they just lose money every time they have to pay their fees.

This is why rec room is resorting to making their cosmetics overly expensive so that they can actually make profit.
