RecRoom Moderation is a Joke

Hello, I am Mr.Catholic I have had my fair share run ins with V-Mods, and AI Moderation. I wanna state it's a absolute joke that RecRoom still uses their Volunteers that moderate their game, and how they use Ai that's not the best for Voice Moderation.

I've been playing RecRoom for about three years, really two, because I have been banned for a whole year about 4 months ago. I just feel like the biased actions of Rec Mods doesn't represent what RecRoom is. I'm not saying all RecRoom Mods are like this, but it feels like a fair amount are heavily biased, and believes it's their God given right to assume they are always right, and your wrong. I've interviewed players, creators, and hackers/scripters on Moderation. Players I interviewed have had more bad run ins than the creator's I have interviewed. (It may have been just, I don't know) Hackers think RecRoom Moderation is a joke for how cheap they are, and their biased popular Rec Mods. Recroom needs change either better Moderation, and proof of the reason of why they are banning members.

I want all of yours opinion on Recroom Moderation, and what could be improved about it.

1st, V-Mods can't ban, they are basically just room moderators of the rec centre
2nd, Voice AI doesn't ban that long and if it did, in the message of the ban should show that you were banned by AI voice mod

The only way to get that long via Voice AI is if you gotten banned by it multiple times

Also creators tend not to do CoC breaking rules because they can lose privileges such as token cash-out, rec room studio and desktop and audio sharing

Just a small note, V-Mods can't ban through a developer window, but their reports they send in do automatically place players in bans or time outs.

As a V-mod we do not possess the ability to ban players, the most that'll happen is a time out.

AI Voice mod admittedly isn't perfect, it takes awhile to take affect and it doesn't take into account context of the situation.

I can't speak on behalf of all vmods, but a good chunk of them are wonderful individuals. Sure there have been a couple bad eggs, but let that not deter you from approaching us. We're not the law, just normal players at the end of the day.

Just to add on top of it, we aren't exempted from punishment as vmods. If you see any of us abusing powers, threatening, or not being C.o.C friendly you are able to report us just like any other player.

Small question (And its alright if you cant answer this), How likely are reports against a V-Mod actually checked by the team? Atleast for average players that see something but do not have full concrete evidence of the thing happening. Would it have to be a high number of complaints against the mod at that point?

I'm not too sure tbh, but reports without evidence alone you'd likely need a good amount of reports for any substantial action to happen. That's why gathering evidence is important, I know for a fact that if somebody had evidence it can instantly get them demoted. (I can't go into detail but yes it's happened before)

It's just like she said, they're still players at the end of the day. I will say I did get a vcb, and then a timeout for trying to stop someone from breaking every Rec Room rule imaginable on multiple alt accounts (still the biggest L on Rec Room in my book and I kinda wish IP bans existed because of it [only God knows how long they've been doing it.]) Still, even if that wasn't the case, I think that was just an occasion I couldn't get out of without putting direct evidence first because of how wild it was, and I can expect V-mods to make the biggest of mistakes themselves. Reports take forever, and even blocking just leaves them transparent to commit the same stuff over and over, even on someone else's mic so it's better to just take someone down with you with a ticket before you get sacrificed like a G. It's kind of a joke.
