You need to place the script on the object prefab.

Instead of placing the script on the object in the Scene, put it on the object's prefab, the object is a prefab correct?

You need to convert your object to a prefab.

Google, how to make prefab in Unity.

Then place the model inside of it, then add the Rec Room Component to the Prefab's root.
