Step 2: watch him copy your room.
Step 3: he puts a coding line into your room that gets it taken down and gets you banned
Step 4: watch the promoter put your room as his own because he stole it.
Step 5: watch rec room intentionally avoid doing anything about it.

promoters are a scam. they won't help your room long term, you have the risk of getting the room stolen if the promoter gets co-owner, and since people are essentially being spam-invited to the room the engagement/retention will be very low.

the root of the issue is that there are non-creators who take a room and republish it 5 times every week until it eventually gets the engagement they want. then they do it again next week. if we did this we would literally be crucified by the community.

I haven't played SwordSummit2 yet, but I absolutely wouldn't call it a cash grab. Ink Overflow's rooms obviously have a lot of effort and care put into them. (Sry about my comment about RapRumble. I was mostly just poking fun at how many storefronts/consumables are in the spawning area.)

To me, cash grabs are rooms that have next to zero effort put into them and try to bank off trends and essentially try to farm engagement.

Perfect example would be all the clicker rooms and HowFarCanYou___ rooms that have been popping up. At its core, all you're doing is making a number go up. (Not to mention with pretty heavy monetization)
