Is it just me or have public lobbies not been working properly? I always find myself spawning in the lobby when a game is active or joining an instance where both teams are already full

Sometimes the scoreboard will also be broken and not show any players, making it impossible to start

The last few weeks has been the worst state I have ever seen laser tag in. Infinite loading screens, stuck in lobby, joining a game without getting spawned in the arena, invincible players, scoreboard not staying up, broken lobbies. I’ve experienced every one of those in a single day, multiple times. Imagine being a new player to this game and that is your first experience. It’s nearly unplayable.

I don’t understand how Rec Room can see this and not take any action towards it at all.

-practice shooting at a consistent firerate, not fast, to start with
-make sure you can do the shoot 5 reload rhythm or try a shoot 4 reload rhythm if you feel like you mess up a lot of reloads
-when it comes to hitting shots, focus more on your aim than your movement to begin with, there's no point hard dodging if you're spraying your pistol and not hitting anything
-(optional) try out the LTFireRate room that jegarde made
-(optional) play teleport mode for a few games, teleport really forces you to have high skill with your weapon because of the lack of movement

Also with getting mod it’s very random and I’d bet more about knowing people

Ik ppl who have played since 2016 and have actually perfect records besides false bans and always record and know a bunch of devs and community support members and all that and still aren’t mods

I used to do the same but the experience is massively worse than it previously was

If everything is working fine, those games are fun. But now the performance is crap, the community is very unfun to interact with (both in terms of the people and playing with screenies), and I run into a broken lobby every session. One busted lobby is enough to shut down the entire activity for games like Royale Solos which already struggles to fill a single lobby anymore

That juice isn't worth the squeeze in the slightest. Just play a better game that might even work most of the time.

It probably did. RR loves pushing changes (especially for the UI) under the guise of improving performance even when it's massively worse on every single platform

At this point I'll call them liars.

A UI that will freeze Quest players for a full second or two was not done to improve performance. Every platform ran the new UI worse when I stopped playing and it was like that for years prior. Unless you've actually just never touched the game, it's unequivocally a lie. A weird lie to keep peddling as well. Anyone who touches the UI can instantly see that it's not better and never has been.

Staff probs are aware of it but even if they are they won't really do much about it. The issue from data i have collected is mobile players are causing all the issues it's mainly do do with the gamechip failing to load. With the game chip being CV1 they will probs never look at why mobile players are failing to load it.

Well to support it, I was often asked if I was on pcvr cause I shot fast enough for them to think I do, and I played on quest 2 at the time

I do know that some pcvr players did seem to shoot faster though, but that was like top players who had it down

Pistol firerate is also pretty connection-based or even performance-based on your end. Sometimes what you see shot in 1 second was shot in 1.5 seconds. The data packets arrive less spaced than realtime (e.g. queue was built behind something else in their router) or your device had some processing latency after receiving that data so it visualized as a burst.

The entire game is held together with spaghetti code anyway. I've both experienced and seen clips from others (viewing myself) of being killed by shotgun blasts before the player even appears. You can see the teleport trail effect, a shotgun blast to the face, and then the player pops into existence after.

This kind of thing occurs in dodgeball aswell. Whenever a ball is thrown at you on your screen it may still hit you even when it's no where near you I mean like literally your not moving and you look up and see the ball not hit you and you still get out cus on the other players screen they hit you in the head

Classic p2p networking even if you have a amazing connection the other user has to have a amazing connection for it to be fair. Also room authority controls the game chip which in turn controls hitbox detection as well as the time it takes damage to be registered.

Dodgeball is the worst for this. I've played against people who can do the exact same throws as their teammates. Catching the teammate's is okay but catching theirs is almost exclusively an out. Some players seem to be blessed with the right amount of bad internet.

I'm going to be honest I don't play the game much due to so much trash taking and people spawn killing

Spawn killing isn't an issue if you're decent with pistol, and muting toxic players works just fine

Otherwise one dude in your base is not an issue since you spawn with arguably the best weapon.
