i dont know why or how this happens, it happens randomly.

I know of sometime else who had this happen and they got banned for cheating because of it, so prob best to reinstall rec room or something

There is no way that it can happen randomly. You have something on your computer that is doing it, like that .bat file you have there, or you are dragging the shortcut when you mean to double click it, causing it to make a copy instead.

that exact same think happened to me!! what I do to restore the original files as I delete everything in the Rec Room folder then uninstalled reinstall it. It still does it after that

I am not doing this. i have no idea why this is happening

I am not manually doing anything that could be causing something to do this

also the .bat file was a copy of the original.bat file, nothing about that is different

also, according to Shell Lurker, this is happening to another person, so im not alone

this is only happening on rec room, none of my other games so thats how i know its a rec room problem
