I updated my rec room after not playing for a while and when I checked patch notes on said device it said "PLACEHOLDER TEXT-MAGGIE REPLACE THIS" and I can't play with others

Have you checked to see if the Playstation itself is up to date also? I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to fix this.

All I can say is make sure when you uninstall, make sure all files are uninstalled. And then reinstall. If nothing works, you could always send in a ticket on Zendesk.

It auto unistalls files when I hit delete

Whenever I do an uninstall/reinstall- I shutdown my device and unplug it for a few minutes, then hold the power button for 10 seconds while it’s unplugged, plug it back in and power it up then reinstall the game/app

There is a storage file, sometimes deleting doesn't actually uninstall everything. And yeah, a good console reset like @fierce thunder said is a good next step after uninstalling. Then boot back up and reinstall again. If that still doesn't fix it, definitely make a ticket.

I've made sure all files are gone, I do some console debugging and Mae sure all rr files were gone
