Do you know how to change float variables by +1 or -1 using buttons?

I want the value of a variable to increase by 1 when I press one button and decrease by 1 when I press another button.

but essentially, variables of the same type & name can references eachother, when one circuit updates somewhere, & updates again somewhere else, both output will be the same

so on button press, set (the top orange port on left) float variable to output from a add, where top input is variable & "1" or "-1" (or just use subtract) on the botton,
