what can cause for you to get banned for cheating?

You can get banned for cheating for a lot of reasons - third party exploits, abusing bugs in rooms (i.e using wall glitching to get to places you realistically couldn't get to), etc. Being banned for "cheating" basically boils down to using third party applications or vulnerabilities in Rec Room's code to gain an unfair advantage against other players.

ok, weird question. what if your computer accidentally duplicated the rec room files and anti cheat thought they were third party applications

i think the easy anti cheat reads the files

and what you did are just copys they still work the same as the original

I'd assume the anti-cheat wouldn't have been tripped by the duplicates, as it's just Rec Room reading it's own data in a sense.

i mean they did say "adding to or modyfying the files" can be considered "hacking/cheating" and it did duplicate, technically adding ALOT of files

that i didnt add it tho, one drive was being stupid so it duplicated the files

If you change an DLL you won’t be able to enter the game and you will get a error from easy anti cheat saying what file is broken

You can only cheat if you bypass the anti cheat

i didnt change anything nor did i bypass it, they said adding anything to the files is considered cheating
