they likely made those threats just to scare you from building whatever you were building. i doubt they were actually gonna go out of their way to miraculously get your account b*nned (censoring so i dont trigger Dyno) and scour the entire internet to find personal info about you. i would just block, report them, and send a ticket for good measure and keep doing what youre doing

and about copyrighting room ideas, that would probably be abused by greedy creators just like every other new feature RR released in the past 2 years for creators. i dont think it'd benefit RR's UGC side since copyrighting rooms ideas would kinda limit people's creativity on what they can make

Horrible idea since someone could just "copy right" anything they want

The people who are trying to copyright the idea of making helluva boss/Hazbin hotel based maps are greedy. I know who they are. When I tried to talk to them all they had to say was "It's a family thing!" and if you end up making a hell based bar they come into your map and they threaten you.

As someone who "copied" another map idea, I say no.
I had the idea to make my map ^RecWiki by myself. An in-game version of the website rec-room.fandom.com. Or simply put, a library of cosmetic for players to learn what opportunities they have within the game. I had never heard of another person who had thought about making anything similar. When I published it in Dec. 2021, I still had never heard about any map similar. It wasnt until 5 months after I had originally planned to make the map (planning/map created October - Published December) that I started to hear rumors of another map similar to mine. In March, durring the Art Festival, I had some difficulty getting a few holotars filled as some people would say "I've already helped make a holotar for that map". That other map was "RecRoomArchive" which is supposedly the "largest library" of holotars/history of the game.
They had apparently made their map in 2020 and it was in progress for the past two years by the time I heard about it. They had a tour sometime in mid-late 2022 that I attended. It was completely empty. Most subrooms had "text here" and empty holotars. I visited every subroom that was there. Their map wasnt officially published until a year and a half after mine was. And they dont update it, ever. Some of their information is wrong (even after Ive pointed it out both with the clipboard and talking to the room creators). They had Dev support and a full team and it's still underwhelming.
I wont say my map looks better, they used the rec con template, but mine is more accurate and recieves updates often.
I'm not going to name names, but I have had their team say their share about me/my map.

Tldr, Just because you had the same idea as someone else doesnt mean you should be barred from executing it. Yours may become the better room (which might intimidate the other creators).
