Pretty sure it can play any steam game that supports controller input and isnt steam vr and rec room has a non vr (aka screen) mode that supports controller so im pretty sure you can play it on the steam deck

rec room does have steam deck support already, go onto your steam search and find “Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime” then download it and rec room will run upon opening
