#why did rec room change their company name?

im guessing they just decided to go all in on Rec Room rather than releasing several games as a game studio. this is purely just speculation, so don't take my word for it
Fair
but i agree. Against Gravity was a much better name than rec room
And the thing is, they would probably sue you if you tried to use that name
Even though it’s a cool name
Probably to fit the fact the new avatars aren't going to be against gravity
The changed their company name from AG in like 2018-19 iirc
What's the name now
Rec Room Inc.
Oof
I don't think they can since they don't use it. You'd have to first see if it's protected by copyright. If so, wait for the copyright to expire. They won't renew it. If not, steal the bane.
If the name wasn't protected, so you took it, if they try sueing the only real case they'll have is that Meta still thinks they were Against Gravity, so the port was likely out on Quest 1 before the name change, as it would've been easier to make the Quest 2 version with the Quest 1 version.
