I thought so too until I actually watched it. Skibidi toilet is an arms race story.
Despite the weirdness of the premise the guy making it has been doing animation for over a decade. The gimmicky stuff gets toned down a lot in the more recent episodes.
I usually describe it as high effort pretending to be low effort.

Why a Skibidi Toilet room? 
why not try make something that you truly care about other than just trying to chase trends for tokens/profit? Do you really enjoy being a creator if all youre doing is pushing out whats currently popular to get the most visits and tokens? Rec Room's tools weren't meant for people to milk what meme/trend is currently popular at the time. These kinds of rooms are the soul reason why I never go on the Hot and New page anymore, and the only people who could fix that is Rec Room and the creator communoty.
Also, promoters are a scam. They wont help your room long-term, plus you have the risk of getting that room stolen if that promoter's greedy enough
