Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > Rec Room App > Data Usage (enable all, then back to Rec Room App) > Restrict Data Usage (Both on) > Back to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Reset Settings [Phone Reset]

For Samsung my path is "Back to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Reset Settings" but you might have something like "Connections & Sharing" instead of General Management

Load up rec room and if nothing has changed, uninstall it and reinstall it. It should now be up to date with any missing updates that may have failed to install last time that may have been caused by google play

If it gives a 403 error then that is usually your IP or account restricted from rec.net, but something Rocko_ can usually fix.
