I think it would have limitations like: teleport only, the watch would be maximized only, they would be screen mode sized, and also they would have two options for hands; mirror motion (mirror the movement of one hand to the other) or main hand only (the other hand would stay in idle position like screen mode) and also they would have the possibility to play as a screen mode
#if Rec room was in the oculus go how would it be

explosion
It would be more like extreme optimization besides the point that no shaders or lights
Oh and also EXTREME facet reduction if the room is 100% ink
what would the point of putting it on go be
Is just a hypothetical...
Besides if it “was” in it not if it gets added rn
Yes
what
Actually I kinda like the feature I said about having the possibility to play as a screen mode in the oculus go
hold on let me read this again
Just like minecraft for gear vr did
That should be an option. Some kind of living room or theater to play rec room screen mode in.
Actually that’s a great idea even for nowadays!
Like let’s say you just wake up and all you have is a quest and you say like nah I don’t feel like playing vr and then you just play as a screen mode in your quest
No one wants to play full blown VR games all the time.
Actually I have a rr friend that says that all he has is an oculus quest 2 and a crap chromebook
Most people have that kind of setup currently. It wouldn't be a bad idea to make it screen mode in VR. It becomes easier to play more often.
Not only that but full blown VR is a commitment you need a lot of space and you could be exhausted by the end depending on the game. Having an alternative on the same device just makes things simpler.
what
Wut
screen mode in vr what
You boot up vr and have a big screen in vr to play screen games on.
whats the point of that
you might as well just use VR
i mean maybe but i dont see the point
Not everyone wants play vr and most people don't have pc that can run rec room
Many people have chromebook and oculus2 because oculus 2 is so cheap.
i think if you have a quest you want to play vr
that just seems dumb to me
You can own a quest and want to play screen games.
I can't grammar tonight sorry lol
are you basically just saying use the quest as a PC or something
Essentially yes.
i mean i guess but
i dont know im like 95% confused
How?
The quest 2 is so much cheaper than a decent computer that many people just get quest 2 because they already have low end computers.
i mean obviously its not like a quest is gonna be more than a PC
just normally people have something like a series s or a ps4
mhm
I can't understand sarcasm this late at night.
what
Is that sarcasm?
no
Damn im tired.
idk man just seems weird to me
Your lifestyle may just be different than mine to the point where our view of other people's situations may differ drastically.
what
U hav mor money than me so u expect others to hav mor.
how does that play into anything
all im saying is most of the time people have something like a console
if you really want to play rec room like that then there's also mobile
Mobile is easy to use but it is leggy usually and much more difficult to control.
that's true but if you dont want to play in VR then you have mobile
i dont know i can barely comprehend 99% of what you've said
im too tired aswell so

O my god
Wtf just happened
Welp. If that ain't a sign from the universe then I don't know wut to do.
Cya

It would have been like mobile, but you could look around with your head.
Yeah just like minecraft for the gear vr
Oh and also that you would be able to move in someway your hand
The meta quest does run recroom
We’re talking about the oculus go, the standalone that was even before the quest was a thing
