what do you need help with
the spiking and lag
everytime i hop in my dorm it just lags nonstop
quest 2 link steamvr
yes pls
um idk if this is it
it would help
yes they are good
the RAM is low but it works with pretty much every game so
however
check your graphic settings
how
my vr dashboard is high performance
show
100 times
someone told me to“” but when you open you steam vr you should see maximum bandwidth / maximum FPS, turn those down, oculus isn’t capable of handling a lot of fps since it was made to be a standalone console, also while in the oculus app on your pc there is a settings tab, go settings>visuals>bandwidth, and set it to whatever you have your steam vr bandwidth set to””
but idk how to do that
well i do not have a steam VR or any VR to work with my laptop
so i do not know that one
i use PSVR
have you tried re-installing steamVR?
try that just in-case
alright
and while you do that i will go over some more reasons that could have caused this
have you enabled motion smoothing?
what is that
open SteamVR Settings, go to Video > Per-Application Video Settings, and select an option for "Motion Smoothing."
it can be result of few things:
- Latest RR update
- Resolution of VR is on full HD or more and PC cant handle it.
- Dorm uses more than 80% of ink and a lot of objects.
- Messed up setting in steam VR.
Check usage of GPU in dev mode of steam VR and then you can see problem. Or trough task manager check usage of CPU and RAM.
Sorry Im late to this but I hope it might be helpful. If its only in dorm I would set my spawnpoint as club room that would be empty Maker Room to avoid issues till they are fixed.
ill try this
