Many other players are encountering this exact same issue. However there may be a fix.
One of my PCVR friends who plays on the Steam version of Rec Room on his Windows Mixed Reality headset has had this issue multiple times. However, just recently he fixed it or at least killed it off.
Essentially what he did was download Rec Room directly to his PC, instead of putting it on his disk drive.
So, try uninstalling and reinstalling not from steam but from their download section on Rec.Net: https://rec.net/download
In the mean time, we'll have to wait until Rec Room resolves the issue for the majority of others that are also experiencing this.
