The reason for this is the sensitivity of the Index grip controllers. As you know, you are able to grab objects using both the controller trigger and the pressure-sensitive palm grip around the side of the controller.
Due to how sensitive this is, sometimes players who try to throw using this pressure-based grip can have difficulty letting go of the object when anticipated (due to the awkward positioning of the grip on the controller).
An easy fix for this is to disable the pressure-based grip by editing your controller mapping in the bindings menu for Rec Room, or selecting a more preferable button binding created by other users.
