im on pc playing recroom on steam and whenevr i load up its all fine until i spawn into my dorm then after a second i get kicked to what looks like the outside of my dorm room and none of the keybinds work i cant do anything i have reinstalled and verified intergity so idk wht to do

Yes, the Rec Room launcher tends to launch Rec Room through Steam, if you have it installed. 🤷♂️

I’m not sure, I don’t know of many people who play through the official launcher? Though if it doesn’t work, your best bet is to either play on the temporary beta, or create a ticket via Rec Room’s Zendesk support centre.

It doesn't launch it through Steam, it is it own version. That is why it's called stand alone.

Try clearing your cache and registry key. On the launcher it will require you to log in again with username/password.
You can get to the cache folder by using the Win +R and putting in
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Against Gravity
Just delete the whole Rec Room folder.
To delete the registry string.
In the Windows bar, type RegEdit. It will show as Registry Editor. CTRL+F or Edit>Find and search for Against Gravity. It should come to a folder under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Against Gravity and it has another folder Rec Room under it. Delete that Rec Room folder and try again.

Odd. Whenever I try to launch the standalone version, it tries to launch it through Steam 🤔
I don’t have the slightest clue as to why it wants to do that, but I’m not the most experienced with standalone 🤷♂️
Regardless I don’t use stand-alone anyhow haha

If it was Steam I was going to ask if you had any variables like -vrmode in the start up variable, but the launcher there isn't that option as far as I know
