With a server as large as the Rec Room Discord, though it would be cool like you say, having voice chat channels would be chaotic.
Voice chats would become too crowded with the shear amount of people who would want to join them, it would be hard to have a decent conversation with so many people in one channel. Not only that, VC channels are hard to moderate, and due to their popularity in such a large server, unfortunately it would be very difficult for people to join them (as people would likely just sit in voice chat channels and never leave) lol
