#What is the Resolution/Aspect Ratio of the different Profile Banners?

When creating a banner for a YouTube channel you have to consider the different banner sizes for different devices and the so called "save zone" that comes with it.

So my question is, what would the save zone for Rec Room Profile Banners be and what are the different resolutions/aspect ratios for the in-game Portfolio and the Rec.net Profile on Mobile and on Desktop?

Bonus Question: What Canvas is the best to draw a Banner on? The Square Canvas or the Rectangular Canvas?

Images taken with the camera are 2560x1440. They are what is mostly used for the banner for rooms and thumbnails but you will see some cut off. The canvas is 1429x1024 so you will notice that the aspect is not quite the same. It all depends on where you are looking for the image to be displayed the. most. For instance, like I did for one of my rooms, the focus is centered for square, but there is still more for the edges.

I'm pretty sure they use the whole image, it is just cropped in the UI pending where you see it.

(Edit from the future: This Info contains some Errors)
So, here are my testing results for anyone interested (@molten rose Sry for the Ping but I thought it would be of interest to you)
Before I continue I want to mention that my numbers are close but not precise. More testing would be needed for accurate numbers
I used a 1024x1024 Square Canvas Image as a banner and the area that was actually visible on each device was:

  • (Not Correct)1024x475px for the in-game Portfolio
  • (Not Correct)1024x275px for Rec.net on Desktop
  • 1024x900px for Rec.net on Mobile
If the image is higher or wider than that ratio it will be cropped accordingly
Here's an image for anyone that wants to use it as a template or for further testing

Nice, good testing.

# molten rose Nice, good testing.

Apparently I made some kind of mistake
I made another test using the same picture but the results somehow changed(?)
So the size for Rec.net Mobile seems to be correct, but the visible area for the in-game Portfolio and for Rec.net Desktop seem to have become smaller(?)
I'm going to make some more testing and I'll post my (hopefully) correct results here
Maybe it'll help someone in the future with the same problem as me
