People who hate the game, yet still play why?

I play, as I like the simplicit style, questing, and I enjoy circuits, it's also one of the few multiplayer games my friends play. For a while the weekly was the only reason I played, then they ruined that.

I'm in and out myself. Rec Room is pretty unique and there were a lot of things I loved about it in 2017-2019, but like it is now, they started making so many changes without taking in user feedback. I came back in 2022 and the changes were pretty drastic, but looked like they were ironed out. Little did I realize they were still at it. Now the changes are all over the place again and I just don't like being in the middle of them. I still hop in from time to time and still enjoy talking about the game. But, I can't find the joy of being in it while the things I had comfort in keep breaking/changing.

The only difference I’ve noticed with Horizons is there are more like minded people on there but the moderators take things a little too seriously. I’ve only met a couple mods that are pretty chill.

Personally I just get bored from time to time. I do cv2 faster than I can come up with ideas for what to make with cv2.

Honestly little kids ruined quests for me snipes and grenades from across the map ruined paintball for me and the constant maker pen changes ruined building for me

The constant not listening to feedback and money just hit me

Id find every racing league there is in rec room but they dont even promote it in the discord thats why the "Racing Category" isnt known in the game

Yeah but even then you guys dont see the bigger picture of whats happening, i feel so bad for not telling you but dont wanna tell you guys because your having so much fun

Were literally planning to sponsor a Racing League but were not quite in the "Eligible for Sponsorship" level jist yet because yeah the game is dying and people dont know Motorsports

But if they do join they just want to race and thats it

They dont have Motorsports or Car passion AT ALL

Rec Room will probably never sponsor another league at all

Thats why were getting people who would sign up and just start to be inactive

I liked being in the Kirk series, it was super fun, a lot of my friends where in there, but every update Rec Room would just break the physics so much lag and overall became unplayable

And the community is slowly becoming toxic even the top drivers there

I hate the game, I hate the community, and I hate the moderation team. The only reason why I still play the game is because it’s one of the only thing me and a really close online friend can use to connect with each other

Okay, I feel they may have felt GoKarting was a little limiting in the obstacles.

They said the steering for the game was to straining to the hand, so they changed it, then they said it was too motion sickening, so they changed it to rec rally

Too much motion for jumping and bouncing around the tracks and mountains

Rec Rally is more motion sickening, GoKarting would be a bit more tame.

And as for karting its just on plain asphakt and fast motion thats it

I’ve never had motion sickness before until I actually tried it out

No, but they got rid of GoKarting and replaced it with Rec Rally for being to motion sickening.

The only time i have gotten motion sickness is Bonelab release and Rec Room

Both have the same reason why i was sick

I don't think I've every actually gotten motion sick.

FRAME DROPS

My laptop runs STEAMVR home at thirty FPS at most, in Crescendo I get fifteen FPS at most.

Frame drops are actually a reason a lot of experienced vr players get motion sick, that was why almost everyone got sick by just playing the Bonelab release for about an hour

Not big frame drops small teeny tiny ones that you wont notice at all

Somehow didn't get motion sick, and beat ot with help.

It affects your eyes in a way that makes you want to throw up

I feel a constant fifteen FPS would also be an issue.

The only time I get motion sickness isn’t even in vr, it’s when I have a horrible migraine and because of the migraine my vision gets distorted and dazed

Some people didnt get frame drops

Heres what i experienced between Rally and Karting speaking from a Karter and as a WRC Sim Racer

Rally is much more aggressive interms of road surfacing and you would often feel the bounce of the terrains which it would only cause more motion sickness

While as Karting its just plain but hella fast when you go through corners which makes it less sickening

If you would look and concentrate on the track and turns it would be much more faster and easy therefore you wouldnt experience any sickness at all

They should've just added both.

even though i dont like some of rec room's more recent decisions, one of the things that keeps me playing is how prefect of a middle ground it has between horizon worlds and vrchat. the game has a very stylized and grounded art style, yet as a huge community with some amazing rooms. also, legit no one plays horizon worlds, and id prefer not to see anime girls and memes running around everywhere in vr chat, so rec room would be a perfect choice for me

Its just plain asphalt and thats it

They took already made ips and “parodied” them

By making gundam (dont know how to spell it), squid game, power rangers, mandelorian, buzz lightyear

They took it one for one and put it in the game

Since the room still exists and is just privated, hypothetically someone could clone it, and share it publicly, and even potentially share the models for the Go-karts. Of course they'd end up getting banned, but the stuff was already distributed. I am not promoting this mods.

Game development is just not like that

If it's still in the game the only way we're getting it is if someone hacks it into an invention, but if they do they might need to makenit into a spawner, otherwise you can't save it, and if you do it corrupts your account, and you can't use it ever again. Not promoting this mods.
