  1. Discord is not google, when searching do not search as if you were using google, search for keywords, like "AI" or "Pathfinding", not "How to make pathfinding AI cv2". If people are asking enough about certain circuits or game mechanics, there is a chance someone has made a posted with a custom [REFERENCE] tag, so you can try to search for "Reference". Know that all posts with the "Reference" tag should be thoroughly optimized and have the proper networking as to help people, not hinder people

  2. This channel is for helping with circuits V2 or circuits V1, this channel is not for asking for people to help with the entirety of your games, especially without pay. People in this channel will help you learn about specific chips, how to make small circuits, and give suggestions on multiple ways you could make certain game mechanics, if you need/want help with a full on game, go to #1020059680153808977, and don't expect anyone to work with you without payment

  3. The people here are not always active nor awake, this is all voluntary, please be patient with requests, there is a high probability you will not get an answer instantly and will have to wait anywhere from 10 minutes to a full day, but most the time we do a good job at answering within 45 minutes

Spawn a "Player Definition Board".
Select the "Edit" tool in your makerpen menu.
Begin editing the Player Definition Board by selecting it.
Within the Player Definition Board, spawn an "Event Receiver".
Select the ''Configure" tool in your makerpen menu.
Configure the Event Receiver by selecting it.
Set the "Event" to "Projectile Hit Player"

oh christ

What you are looking for is a pathfinding algorithm, there are hundreds of them

  • Want one computationally cheap, extremely fast and easy to make, but not always reliable? research "BFS Pathfinding" or "Best First Search Algorithm"
  • Want on computationally cheaper than AStar, slower, but with the same results? reserach Dijsktra's Algorithm
  • Want one more computationally expensive than Dijkstra's algorithm, but faster? research AStar Pathfinding

BFS is incredibly simple, its litterally just "Get all the neighbors of the node you are currently at, get the closest one to your target, and go towards it"
Dijsktra's is computationally cheaper than AStar, but its slower
AStar is basically the exact same circuits as Dijsktra's, but more computationally expensive

Both AStar and Dijsktra's are going to be extremely complicated for a new circuiteer to make, which is why I, when I was a beginner, tried to make my own simple AI, or just used under-the-map RR AI

(Saying AStar rather than A* because discord formatting)

@ember goblet Maybe you should lock this thread (and if possible, have a moderator delete all the messages in this thread except for those that are helpful) in order to help new users to not confuse this for a channel where questions are answered.
